Team Nuhvok by Fenrek Team Nuhvok by Fenrek
In my moccing past, I had a phase where I made one Bohrok moc after another and people seemed to really like them. Recentley I had a fellow mocer ask for me to make more simple because he liked them and after seeing a new Bohrok moc recentley posted, I was inspired to build the insectoid menace again.

This time round, I backed away from the typical rounded structure of the Bohrok and went into a bipedial form. I had made a humanoid Bohrok before but it wasn't that well done but I do feel that this one truly captures my personal concept of a bipedial Bohrok.
Nuhvok now walks upright on a pair of heavy duty, digitgrade style legs. The head now sits on top of the shoulders, right next to a triple barrel cannon which is thought controlled by a neural link between Nuhvoks' mind and the cannons operating systems such as targeting and firing. This Nuhvok is easily my most custom moc to date as the only design on him that I've used before is the hands and that's it. The torso, arms, head, legs and all are all new designs that were made on the spot during the build.
I made the head first as it's probably the most important part of the build and this once again brings out how custom this guy is. The only part from the original Bohrok on the head is the visor/carpace. The actual head behind it is all new. The only other parts from the original Nuhvok set on this moc is the shields situated on the shoulders.

After making Nuhvok, I was once again inspired to make a companion to him and who better than Nuhvok-Va. I followed Nuhvok and did everything custom on Nuhvok-Va aswel, except the head which I personally feel is very iconic so I didn't want to change it. He now has full range of motions with articualtion and I've replaced his claws with 2 finger hands. The claws have now been reduced to just a claw set on a staff which Nuhvok-Va can use to channel energy either into a devastating blast or to re-energise fallen Bohrok.

All in all, a rather fun build and I'm very proud on how I've done the Nuhvok revamp. The legs are my personal favourite part as I finally think I've married digitgrade legs with a chunky, armoured look.
Hope you all like it.

This is awesome :D The Bohrok were some of my favorite Bionicle creatures in the series, they were such fun guys to mess around with...the only thing that disappoints me about them is that Lego didn't make any of the later characters in the series able to wear the Krana :( I'd love to put Krana on some of the newer guys...but the original Toa Mahri/Nuva heads don't look right on them >_>

I think the only criticism I would have for these two guys is a little too much black, it's harder to make out all of the details on them because of almost all of the pieces being the same color :/ But other than that they're both really awesome.

While I'm not too sold on the humanoid idea... I firgging love Bohrok and this revamp looks awesome, managing to capture the feel of the original without being too samey. I think it could probably use a little more bulk, and possibly a second shoulder cannon, but those are just nitpicks. I would like to see both models from a few other angles, though.
