Voltix Revamp by Fenrek Voltix Revamp by Fenrek
Voltix is a cold and calculating individual made only stronger by the constant energy flowing through the numerous piping connected into his body. Immune to most forms of electrical based attacks, he absorbs the energy rather than be damaged by it.

Now be honest here, for my usual colour schemes and styles, none of you were expecting the purple, red and gunmetal combination from me in any moc.
A little side note here, I found it funny in the animation how Voltix was and average sized character yet had a deep, powerful voice and that Black Phantom had the same head design but was large and yet had a humorous voice.
Anywho, I've actually wanted to do this guy for a while and have recentley noticed that most of the revamps of him are still just simple hero factory structures and not really complex. So I thought, hell, I'd give it a go.
I'm actually very happy with what I've done here. I kept to the concept that he isn't exactly a stout character and has slight elongations in his structure but it does not deter from his sizeable disposition. In short, he's a taller, slightly leaner yet bulky character.
The legs are a tad longer than I usually make and he does have an abdominal region with a ball joint in it to extend the torso/body. I kept some designs from the orginal such as the electric horns and the majority of, if not all, of the armour pieces. I knew from the start that I wasn't going to give him that ridiculous yellow tentacle and was going to veer more towards his appearence in the animation rather than the released action figure.

All in all I'd say this is a success and that I'm happy to have worked with this many colours on a single moc. The originality of the characters colour scheme and overal portrayal in the animation is brilliant and am glad to have made something to show my fascination with this character.

This could be him as a primary villain.

The tiny red plates and liftarms really help carry that red through the colour scheme a bit more. On the set it seemed kinda out of place.
